Project 365 - Day 248

" We're in this thing!" This was supposed to be the tag line on the birthday shirt for my dad. He has this thing where I can "make" a t-shirt for him. These shirts go way back when my brother and I had them done some 25 years ago. I waited until the last moment to get a photo - I should have stopped right there. His birthday is tomorrow. I had a vision of the kids sitting nicely looking very excited and shouting "We're in this thing" - the SF Giants tag line this month to push them into the playoffs - but alas, this is what I got and somehow I don't think this would make a good t-shirt so I will have to give him an IOU on the t-shirt thing.

Project 365 - Day 247

It was Laura day - well sort of. I worked in Nathan's class and mom watched Laura and Noah for me. She loves to put on her "sparkles" and play with her dolls. I caved and let her talk me into making a batch of chocolate cupcakes (she really had to try hard, don't laugh). The girl has a deep loving obsession with chocolate. And I wouldn't be a good mom if I didn't let her lick the wish attachment right?! Well, I figured it would be a good memory for her and I am a scrapbooker afterall. These are the moments I want to record.

Project 365 - Day 246

Can you believe she is making this? It is pizza night at our house and once again Laura is helping me make dinner. I let the kids put their own toppings on and she wanted a broccoli pizza and she ate every bit of it. She loves broccoli. I secretly feel like a better mom because she likes it - like I had anything to do with it - Nathan and Noah hate the stuff. Oh well, it does make me happy she likes it and I think it is comical that a three year old makes broccoli pizza.

Project 365 - Day 245

This was one of those moments that you can not plan. We were at Costco yesterday and Nathan points this out at the entrance. Amazing that he SAW it, amazing that there was only one and AMAZING that it spelled HIS name. I just love it!

Project 365 - Day 244

Laura got her very own library card today. She was thrilled and I can't believe it took me this long to get her one. On the bright side, she was old enough to actually understand the concept and feeling very excited and grown up at having her very own card and I lucked out because it is green (her favorite color, she thought it was green just for her). I am hoping to incorporate weekly Mommy and Laura time at the library and I smell another crafty sewing project in a library bag for Christmas. Just further proof I will use anything as an excuse to craft. And yes, the crooked picture is for you mom - I know how much you LOVE them!

Project 365 - Day 243

Just a quick picture to show Auntie Joni if there was any doubt this little guy still loves his blanket there shouldn't be. He is always cuddling it in some way when he sleeps. Yes, mom he still likes it close to his face and sometimes over his head so I constantly check on him and snap pictures accordingly. This photo will look much better with some photoshop love but for now here is the picture for day 243.

Project 365 - Day 242

Noah's new shoes. This little guy is walking all over now and my mom and I went out and got him matching Keens. I love these shoes. They fit the kids great, they are waterproof and can be tossed into the washing machine. They are sturdy and totally cute. I should be a spokesperson or something. These are one of the cutest things I have ever seen. They are so small but all the details are there like the big kid versions. I think Mike and I should get some next!
