Project 365 - Day 306

Since my mom and I have been sick we have decided that we will stay away from the baby shower on Saturday which means we need to mail the goodies off to make it in time. The pictures are terrible but I at least wanted to get a few shots of them before they left me. I hope they like the theme.

Project 365 - Day 305

I just have to laugh and quickly grab the camera for this one. Nathan is still into sorting his halloween candy - this year by color. He has silver, yellow, blue, brown, rainbow, red, pink and green. Do any other children do this? Is this something I should be worried about? Is there OCD in this poor child's future? Okay, nevermind - I think I will just chalk this up to he is very organized and will contribute great things to society with his great mind someday - hee hee!

Project 365 - Day 304

Happy Halloween! Well we are in no fever zone for 24 hours now but little Laura is still not 100%. The kids still went out (to about 10 houses I think) because they really wanted to wear their costumes. Nathan went as Boba Fett, Laura as Princess Leia and Noah as Chewbaca. They had a short night but it was still fun. I am hoping when they are feeling better to do a better photo shoot.

Project 365 - Day 303

Friday night means movie night around here and since we are still fighting being sick (I know this flu thing is really awful) I picked up a new movie. The Monsters vs. Aliens theme included another short movie in 3D and the kids were very serious about wearing the glasses. I also found some B.O.B. snowballs that I thought would be a fun treat. Turns out they are pretty processed and disgusting and I think they would survive an alien invasion.

Project 365 - Day 302

He is the best cleaner-upper yet. He was the only one picking up and putting away. I am soo happy, maybe this one will listen to me (ha ha, I know). He has also found this little stool habit. He carries it all over the house and proceeds to very carefully place it on the ground and very carefully situate his little bottom on it and then smile very proudly. He is just so cute and the poor child needs a chair of his own.

Project 365 - Day 301

So here is a stack of new clothes just sitting there waiting for me to feel better so I can wear them. I had a fabulous time shopping with Grandma Alma and Aunt Pam last week and to my utter shock and amazement I can now shop in the REGULAR SIZES. This is a huge thing for me and I still don't quite believe it but that is what fits now. The WW (weight watcher) thing is going so painfully slow for me - the thing that hurts me is I know if I fully committed and did the program 100% my results would be better but I seem to be fighting the emotional battle of my eating these days. I have lost about 15 pounds since I started this journey on June 1st and to me this little stack of new jeans and shirts is the brightest moment. Now if I can just feel better to wear them all would be right!

Project 365 - Day 300

Little Laura and I seem to have gotten this awful flu thing the worst around here. Nathan is already back to school but Laura and I are lying around feeling miserable. Laura said to me "You know what I want mommy? I would like one of those yummy doughnuts. That would make me feel better"

So my wonderful mom who seems to still take care of me when I need it went on a store run for me and brought me yummy soups and egg salad and croissants from the awesome Nugget Market only to be met with Laura's sad little face of doughnut yearning. So she actually left my house and got her a doughnut. Anything to make her feel better. My mom rocks, this cold/flu thing stinks.
