Lego look-a-like?

The kids were playing with Legos yesterday and had all of the people out. Nathan soon started yelling - hey this one looks like Uncle Chris!! He has hair like Uncle Chris!! I just thought this was so funny. We put him in a suit so he is dressed for work as a manager at the grill! Too cute! I am sure Uncle Chris will appreciate the lego likeness!

Project 365 - Day 7

This was a busy house day. I am so far behind in laundry is it pathetic. My little laundry room is covered with clothes to wash and clothes to dry. Ugh - it is one of the never ending tasks!
I also decided to make this meat sauce from the recent Rachel Ray magazine that can be used in different recipes throughout the week. What a disaster that was! First the sauce didn't even taste good (note to self drain off all the fat from the meat even though it is not called for in the recipe) - seriously all I tasted was grease - yuck - and I am thinking what in the world am I going to do with all this sauce all week and it took all flipping day to cook! Well, I read somewhere to take up some of the fat off a sauce place a slice of bread on top and the fat will get soaked up. It worked sorta, then I added some tomato paste and sugar and at least it was edible. We will see how the rest of the week goes!

Project 365 - Day 6

This is the fourth time I have tried to get this shirt on little Laura. She is so difficult these days. I swear I can't buy anything without her and even then I don't dare take the tags off until I am sure she is going to wear it and even then she doesn't like to put clothes on that have a tag. I bought this cute shirt to go with 2 pairs of leggings and a jacket she got for christmas and thought she would like the sparkles on it. How did I get it on her you ask - bribing her with chocolate. It works every time with her sweet tooth!

Project 365 - Day 4

I just am so tickled by his enthusiasm with this Star Wars x-wing fighter lego creation. This was one of his 'biggies' from Santa and I put it together for him, he tends to lose interest in the more complicated sets and I am stuck finishing it, but come on, wouldn't you put together a hundred lego sets to get that smile - I know I would or should I say will be over the years??!!

Project 365 - Day 3

Laura in her sweet Hello Kitty nightgown my Grandma Alma made for her for Christmas - complete with matching nightgown for her doll. Laura just loves them both!

Project 365 - Day 2

I am not sure which photo I will use for Day 2. I took the kids to the lego store to fill their christmas 'pick-a-brick' boxes and they had a blast in the store. When we got home I made some chili and my little Laura helper made the cornbread and she is pointing out that 'there are no eggs in here for Daddy'. She is such a fun one to have in the kitchen helping me.
