Happy Birthday Dad! I hope you had a great day. I wonder if he knows it is Day 2-4-9 - I think he would be happy with the 4-9 being a die hard 49er fan. Anyway, the kids wanted to go to the camping store to pick a present for him for his upcoming camping trip and picked a pillow and a pretty nifty eating utensil that is a sort of spork on one end and knife on the other - actually looks like it might work good.Laura wore a red dress because it is Papa's favorite color (still the 49er thing).
He requested pumpkin parfaits for his dessert instead of birthday cake and they were still very decadent even the less fattening weight watcher way (cool-whip instead of real whipped cream).
He pulled out his old boy scout uniform and patch sash to show Nathan who just signed up for cub scouts. I think it is amazing to look at stuff like this. One of those precious keepsakes to me.
