Yes, I think these are in fact the ugliest cupcakes you have ever seen! I have been 'practicing' for Laura's upcoming birthday party and this was my first try. I told you all a while back I do not bake but I just can't put my friend Dusti through another one of my kids birthday cakes/cupcake orders. She has graciously done a cake and cupcakes for them in the past and I am determined to ease up on her, especially after the hours and hours she spent on Nathan's lego stuff. These actually tasted really good, they had mascarpone cheese in them which I am told makes them go flat and separate from the liners. Have no fear, I called the cupcake hotline and Dusti has given me some pointers along with offering to bail me out and bake them if needed so if you are coming to the party these won't be served, I promise!

I am all about cupcakes from a box. You really should try and take the easy way out once in a while :) Do you own "The Cupcake Doctor" recipe book?
No matter what - Laura will love the cupcakes and I am sure they will be scrapbook worthy ;)
