Project 365 - Day 288

A very common scene around here. The ball went over the fence. I bet the neighbors are really loving us. The kids are constantly throwing or kicking some ball over the fence. I just think they are soo cute peaking through. All three of them got into it to check it out and I just feel lucky I got a snapshot.

Project 365 - Day 287

Rainy days and Slinkys. What else do you do on a rainy day? Laura watched the rain (I think the news reported there were 4 inches for the day) and did a little painting. Then they got the Slinky out and had some old fashioned fun!

Project 365 - Day 286

DJ Nate is in the HOUSE! This is a little thing Nathan does when he hears music. He pretends he is a DJ and Laura bee bops along to the beat. Mike was trying to find a song for them (I think it is the Shrek song) and ended up showing me the new Carrie Underwood video. Further proof my son has a beautiful blond complex, he exclaims "Whoa, who is that?". I shudder to think about the teenage years.

Project 365 - Day 285

This is about two things. Hand-me-downs and Tivo. Noah got some great hand-me-downs from Jayce recently and they fit his little sports personality perfect. All the sweatsuit stuff is so cute on him. Noah loves the Tivo control. Any and every chance he can get his hands on this little control he takes it and giggles and giggles and sometimes he even brings it to me.

Project 365 - Day 284

Aunt Pam recently went to New York City and brought back goodies for the kids. The Yankee outfit for Noah certainly deserves a better photo shoot but for now at least it is a picture of him in it - it is really hard to get him to stay still these days for a picture. Nathan and Laura love their NY shirts. They are proud to wear them!

Project 365 - Day 283

As many of you know, I get more than a little carried away with the crafty projects. It was my turn to bring snacks to Nathan's soccer game and I just couldn't bring myself to bring packaged snacks like a normal sane person. No, I had to make my own 'Go, Vikings!' cupcake toppers. I know I really need to be checked into some crafty hospital.

It was also Dobie Day today. The Dobies throw a big party every year with lots of fun, yummy food and bowling in Santa Clara. I had made this apron set for Jaylyn and Joni as a birthday gift to Jaylyn. She loves to help Joni in the kitchen. Thanks again to Grandma Alma for helping me pull yet another sewing project off. The girls look adorable!

Project 365 - Day 282

I finally did it. I got Noah's hair cut - or as my dad would say a little trim. It was a spur of the moment thing. I didn't even bring my camera to the shop. I got Laura's hair cut earlier in the day while Nathan was at school and then returned with all three to get Nathan's hair cut and then I just asked if she had time for a trim for Noah. I gathered up as many scraps as I could and placed them in an envelope for safekeeping. I am more than a little ridiculous with saving the hair. I admit he needs more cut off but he was squirming and moving and starting to yell so a trim was all he got. As a side note, I now know I qualify for the multi kid discount at the haircut shop. All it takes is three kids to get a knock-down in price! Who knew, certainly not I, and I never thought I would be qualifying for multi-kid discounts!

As you can see, it was the first cub scout pack meeting for Nathan and Mike. Do you think Nathan was happy? Could he smile any bigger? I think they look so cute!
